Beginner Painting Class
Create a piece in your own style, in the medium of your choice during
this painting class. Individual instruction offered in oil, acrylic,
gouache, or watercolor while you work at your own pace, with the
benefit of a group setting.
This class is designed for the new painter, artists interested in
trying a different medium, or painters looking for advice while they
work on their piece. Depending on your interest and level of
experience, we’ll work on everything from setting up your palette to
experimenting with new styles of painting.
Bring a photographic reference to work from (preferably your own
photo) or several to choose from. If you know the medium you want to
work in, bring your supplies to the first class, or I can help you
decide which path to follow and provide a materials list.
About the Artist:
Anne Tochka is a contemporary painter living and working on Cape Cod.
Her paintings are an immersion in nature originating from her ambles
about the Cape and frequently from plein air studies. Through her
work, Anne strives to convey a feeling that places the viewer not just
in that location, but in that specific moment in time. Anne graduated
from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY with a BFA in Communication
Design: Illustration. She has completed artist residencies in Romania,
Mexico, and Peru, and currently works out of her studio and gallery at
50 Pearl St on the HyArts Campus in Hyannis.
