Digital Session 2 10:45-11:45AM
How Digital Media Can Contribute To And Enhance Traditional Painting
Since 2011, Andrea has used her iPad to create a wide range of images with a variety of painting apps. Her presentation will show many of these images and illustrate the apps, how they work, and the different strengths and features of several different programs. Topics will cover the use of digital media for: preliminary sketches for future (traditional media) paintings, developing ideas for paintings, field studies — painting on sites, such as cafe’s, parks, etc., life drawing/painting, and last, but not least, pure fantasy. She will also discuss the problems and some solutions about output. Once you have an image in your tablet, what can you do with it? There are surprising ways you can combine digital and traditional media for a whole new look!
