Introduction to the Art of iPhoneography with Rebecca Bruyn
Session 4 2:45-3:45PM
iPhoneography, a form of mobile art, has grown into an international movement of thousands of people with varying backgrounds who have discovered how to capture an image spontaneously with their cell phone, and to create an image or tell a story unique to that moment. The one hour presentation is an introduction to iPhoneography that will focus on a few of the most common editing apps. The goal of this workshop is to take you beyond the “native” camera in order to show you how to make creative images that reflect how you see the world. A list of photo apps will be provided to you at the workshop.
Rebecca Bruyn defines herself as an alternative photographer who uses an antique printing method from the mid 1800’s called Cyanotype printing. She uses the images taken with a 35 mm camera and/or a cell phone camera to create unique handmade photographs using a paint brush on watercolor paper. More recently she has become an active contributor to the mobile photography art movement through a variety of Facebook pages dedicated to the digital art community.
