Abstracting from observation involves using references like still life objects, photos, and/or even personal experiences, to create colors, shapes, compositions, and lines that reflect real but abstracted spaces. Bend and reconstruct reality into a series of abstract paintings and or drawings. Class guides you through using your senses to establish new relationships in how to paint and draw using a source of inspiration to create abstract art. Mixed Media techniques including collage will be explored in this class.
Supplies list given and discussed first class. Bring notebook and pen for the first class.
