Lightroom Everywhere with Dave Mullen

Course Description:

Lightroom is the catch-all name for Adobe’s powerful image management and editing program. Confusingly, it comes in four different versions: Lightroom Classic, Lightroom Desktop, Lightroom Mobile, and Lightroom Web.

 

In this two-session four-hour workshop, we will look at how the various “flavors” of Lightroom interact. At the end of our two sessions, participants will understand:

   -the similarities, differences, and limitations of each flavor of Lightroom;

   -how to sync their Lightroom Classic images to the other three versions in the Lightroom ecosystem;

   -how to sync their cellphone images to all the various versions of Lightroom ecosystem;

   -how to share a gallery of images with Aunt Sally who lives in California;

   -the similarities and differences in the editing processes in each version of Lightroom.

 

We will not cover the full range of Lightroom Classic importing, organizing, and editing choices, as there are other classes at the Art Center that go into a deeper dive on those issues.

 

This class is aimed at photographers who already use one or more versions of Lightroom and would like to expand their repertoire and knowledge. Participants should have a paid Lightroom plan and have some experience with at least one version of Lightroom, as well as having the programs installed on their computers and mobile devices. If possible, participants should bring a laptop and their mobile devices to the sessions.
