Monotype Printing 101 with Mellissa Morris
Tuesdays, May 12 – June 16, 2026, 6 weeks
Time: 4:00-6:30 pm
Price: $220 members / $250 non-members
Monotypes are unique, one-of-a-kind prints made by drawing or painting directly onto a plate and then transferring the image onto paper through the use of a press. Students will learn how to prepare and use the printing plate and explore various techniques for creating texture and depth in their prints. Students will learn proper use of the printing Press. Students will be provided with tools, printing plates, and inks in which a supply fee has been added to the total cost of this class. Students will be responsible for obtaining their own printing papers. Suggested: 90-140 Lb. Printmaking paper must be 18″x 24″
