Artist Statement- “My work references the language of maps and aerial views. I am interested in building a shallow space that establishes a dialog between the unsystematic and the constructed. I hope to move the eye gradually over this precarious equilibrium constantly in flux.”
Eli Cedrone-
“I’ve always been influenced by the power of images to express ideas and emotions. Painting is a process of discovery and decision making where disparate elements pull together until the image is clearly expressed. Ultimately my concerns are with the expressive qualities of light captured with paint. Contemporary Impressionism best describes my style.
I’m drawn to the human form where figures exist both in representational and painterly worlds and will I’ll often explore a narrative theme in order to capture the emotional power of a moment in time. I feel that common, every day things can be beautiful and resonant without being manipulative or artificially provocative. Landscape painting for me is a journey in search of something that evokes a personal response to nature beyond the obvious and descriptive. Ultimately my concerns are with the expressive qualities of light captured with paint. I’m inspired by the fabric of which our environment is woven. Daily surroundings that show a visual patina of time speak to me; the alchemy onhealthy between what is transient and what is solid. Between the two is the rich matrix of the shadow and light patterns of life.”

Paul Goodwin-
Although he surrounds himself with the landscapes of New England, Paul Goodwin has traveled extensively throughout the United States and Canada consistently capturing images all along the way. Born and raised in the Berkshire Hills of Massachusetts, Paul came to Photography at an early age, becoming staff photographer at his high school newspaper. He soon discovered a passion for landscapes in the beautiful area that he grew up in. Even though he had to hold down a “real” job, Paul used every opportunity he could get to take day trips or vacations to take pictures and hone his craft.
With the new century came new technology and Paul embraced it learning the ins and outs of digital photography and digital photo manipulation. With the gift of this new technology, Mr. Goodwin has been able to produce all of his own work, from capturing the image right down to the final printing.
Paul currently resides with his family in rural Worcester County, Massachusetts. He offers private lessons as well as judges photo competitions. He can often be found anywhere outside, with his camera in his hand.
