Plein Air Painting Group
Cape Cod Art Center is back with our seventh season of plein air painters, the Cape Cod Art Center Plein Air Painters! There is no instructor, just artists painting together. You’ll learn many tricks to add to your arsenal! The Cape Cod Art Center Plein Air Painters will be visiting sites all over Cape Cod from May through October.
Requirements: You have to be at least an Associate Member of Cape Cod Art Center ($60). Also, there is a $10 fee for the Plein Air Group for the year. Email Manager@capecodartcenter.org if you have any questions.
The Digital Art Group is a group of artists who meet twice a month to talk about digital art. The purpose of the group is to support each other’s artistic journeys and to learn from our interactions with each other. We discuss each other’s work, work on group challenges, and occasionally listen to a speaker present their work.
Our group is open to all artists who make original digital art, regardless of where their source materials come from, or what software, computer, or mobile devices they use.
Photographs and photographs that are simply edited or filtered are not appropriate for this group. Any photos used should be significantly transformed or part of a larger composition.
We talk honestly about each other’s work and have discussions on a wide range of art topics. People have different opinions, which we like! But we must be courteous and kind in expressing our differing views.
Digital Art Group Meetings– The CCAC Digital Art group meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month at 7PM on Zoom.
Requirements: You have to be at least an Associate Member of Cape Cod Art Center ($60) Connect with the Digital Art Group, please email curator@capecodartcenter.org to connect with us.
We are also the home of the National Association of Digital Artists, (NADA)
Camera Club
The Camera Club is a program of the Art Center that is open to all members. The club welcomes members of all skills levels from beginners to masters. The club hosts speakers on all topics related to photography, holds internal competitions and competes in the New England Camera Club Council competitions. They also hold how to sessions by members and have critique nights where you can get feedback on your images from master level members.
The club meets on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month at 7:00 PM from January to November with a banquet in December. The club meets at Cape Cod Art Center and online on Zoom. Guests are welcome to attend. The club subscribes to a web site that manages their competitions. If you want to join the camera club, you can register for an account on their site. All Art Center members can join the Camera Club, but you will need an account to receive their emails and participate in their competitions.
