Summer Flowers in Perspective

Learn to draw and paint flowers from various angles. Wonder how to fit all those petals on a daisy? Intimidated by multi-petaled flowers? We will learn to accurately capture the form and angles of flowers by using basic shapes. We will draw and paint various flowers, learn how to portray them attaching to the stems and learn to draw different types of leaves. We will mix the colors of nature found in flowers. Then paint away. All levels welcome.

Graphite pencils and eraser
Watercolor palette
Watercolor paper – Arches 140lb hot press recommended
Watercolor brushes size 4 or 6
Watercolor Paint – Artist quality recommended- Winsor Newton and/or
Daniel Smith
Suggested colors -don’t buy paint just bring what you have

Bio:
Lynn Shepherd is a botanical artist who wok mainly in watercolor. After retiring from a long career in financial services she decided to learn watercolor. She studied with Susan Stranz then combined her love of art and gardening to pursue botanical art. She received a certificate in Botanical Art and Illustration from the program at Wellesley College Botanical Garden which is now part of Mass Horticultural Society. She continues to study with various nationally known artists.
