Milky Way, Photopills & More
John Tunney
Dates: June 27-29
Cost: $425 Members/$450 Non-Members

Join photographer John Tunney for two nights of fun and adventure learning to photograph the Milky Way over some of Cape Cod’s most scenic locations.

The workshop begins with an early-evening session to discuss camera settings, focus techniques, strategies to reduce noise, and processing techniques. You’ll also learn to use Photopills to plan your night shoots.

We’ll then head out into the field for a sunset shoot and to practice the settings and focusing techniques. From there we’ll then spend the night photographing the stars over Cape Cod lighthouses, beaches and other scenes.

The next day we’ll reconvene at CCAC in the late afternoon for classroom session of editing and image review. From there we’ll grab a quick bite to eat and then head out for an evening/sunset shoot and then into the night for the stars.

We’ll meet the next day in the late morning for editing, image review, discussion and wrap up around 12:30.

We’ll visit at least two locations each night. Expect to be out past midnight.
