Adobe’s Photoshop is the ultimate photo-editing tool, either as an addition to Lightroom or as a stand-alone editor. In this hands-on class, you’ll work with sample images and your own photos as you learn the key tools and techniques to take your images and creativity to new levels.
You’ll learn and practice Photoshop’s powerful tools to remove, move and replace elements of your images, plus the use of layers, masks, selection tools, Smart Objects, AI for precise control of exposure, color, image blending, compositing and more.
Specifically, we’ll cover:
- Lightroom-Photoshop workflow
- Optimizing the Photoshop workspace
- Re-touching and how to remove, move and replace elements of an image. This includes how to remove people, power lines and and other unwanted elements.
- Layers and masks for precise control of exposure, color, image blending, compositing and more.
- Compositing: How to move elements within an image or from one image to another. For example, maybe you think that boat would look better a little to the left. Or you’d like the clouds a little closer to the horizon. Or maybe you want to take the Moon, a flower or whatever from one image and put it in another one.
- Sky replacement for Milky Way and daytime images.
- Focus stack multiple images for hyper depth of field.
- Use of Smart Objects, Adobe Camera Raw and “artistic” filters to create painting-like effects.
The class will be offered in person at CCAC and via Zoom for those who cannot attend in person.
What You’ll Need:
- Basic knowledge and experience with Lightroom.
- The latest version of Photoshop available via Adobe’s Creative Cloud
- A laptop that can run Lightroom and Photoshop if you plan to attend in person. Contact John at john@jtunney.com with questions.
