I have followed my artistic spirit throughout my life exploring everything from pottery and photography to woodblock printing and painting. For 20+ years I focussed primarily on representational paintings with pastels and acrylics. With the beauty of Cape Cod as my constant inspiration, I have produced many scenic Cape landscapes, as well as some from my travels. However, over the past few years, I have been experimenting in both subject matter and technique. I am exploring the world of abstraction by utilizing a variety of mixed media (mostly acrylics and handmade papers) It is my own way of “painting” with paper. This new path is exciting for me. I am developing a great appreciation for the beauty of abstract work as it encourages both viewer and painter to bring a part of themselves into each piece.
