Congratulations to the artists who created these chosen works, and thank you Cynthia Brody for judging this online exhibit of Digital Art. The challenge we were asking you to think about is the space in between. Some may have interpreted it literally as the space between objects. Where the space is implied within the context of an image, for example a cityscape, in between buildings. Perhaps a landscape or seascape that represents a meditative space. Or the image may describe a very personal journey where you enter a transitional space, abandoning the familiar in search of new ways of being. All interpretations were considered.
Digital art is an artistic work or practice that uses digital technology, as an essential part of the creative or presentation process. This includes the use of computers, mobile or portable handheld devices. Photography may or may not be included in this creative work of art.

Grow Where You’re Planted – Cynthia Brody
Cynthia Brody is an artist in Lexington, MA working in mixed media for decades.  Her subject of choice is women, depicted in a surreal style combining manipulated photo collage with oil paint.   She is also a psychotherapist working with women to help them become authentic and strong. As a child of Holocaust survivors, she felt her life was given to her against all odds, and hence she has been devoted to the efforts of expressing compassion about the complexities of life, both as a therapist and as an artist.  Empowerment of women and girls is a passion for her.   Her art website is http://cynthiabrodyart.com and her work is also on Instagram at Cynthia Brody and Facebook at Cynthia Brody Mixed Media Art.
