Landscape & Seascape Photography with John Tunney
May 14th – June 18th, 6 weeks, Tuesdays, 6pm to Sunset (8-8:30)
Fee $295 / member price $275
Maximum eight
Learn the art and craft of landscape/seascape photography while photographing the natural beauty of Cape Cod. Combining classroom and field shoots, the class will cover topics such as composition and design, the creative use of depth of field, shutter speed and lenses, and the art of “seeing.” We’ll also explore editing techniques with Lightroom and Photoshop to optimize your images. We’ll put theory into practice with at least three outdoor shooting sessions at various locations around the Cape.
The class is open to anyone who has taken John’s Intro to Photography class or has similar experience. Students should have a basic understanding of camera controls (how to adjust f-stops, shutter speed and ISO), plus experience editing pictures with Lightroom or an equivalent software. Any camera is fine for this class, but you’ll get the most out of it with a DSLR or mirrorless camera with manual controls.
Field shoots will take place at various locations – from the Upper Cape to Lower Cape. Locations will be selected based on weather and tides. Field shoots are weather dependent. Rain dates be scheduled for the same week.
